Industrial Electrical Services
Electric drawings, new construction, motor controls and process automation, and UL508A control panels designed, assembled and documented in-house in Yakima.
Chapter 01
Plant electrical that grew one machine at a time
Most packhouse and plant electrical was never designed once. It grew. A sizer went in one season, a cold room the next, a new conveyor line the year after, each one tied into whatever was nearest. Years later you have panels nobody can read, controls nobody documented, and a service that was sized for a building that no longer exists. That is where industrial electrical work usually starts for us, and it is the work 509 Electric was built around.
Royal Ridge Fruit and Cold Storage called us for exactly this kind of problem. They had us upgrade one of their services to 3000A so their existing equipment could carry a full cherry season, and so the building was ready for ammonia compressors they plan to add later. The job was about capacity today and room to grow tomorrow, which is the question every plant owner in Central Washington eventually has to answer.
We are a licensed Washington electrical contractor (509ELE*8218O) based in Yakima, and the person who walks your plant is the person who prices the work. If you are not sure whether the service, the gear or the controls are the weak link, that walkthrough is where we find out.

From the first drawing to final inspection
Industrial work for us starts on paper. Our industrial services cover Electric Drawings as well as electrical for new construction, so the facility begins with code-compliant infrastructure sized for the way you actually run, not for a generic building of the same square footage. Getting the load picture right on the drawings is cheaper than finding out at startup.
The packing-line jobs show how that plays out in the field. At Olympic Fruit in Moxee, our crew worked with United Sales to wire in a Greefa bagger sizer and tie it into the existing packing line. At Double Diamond Fruit in Quincy, we did the electrical for a new apple bagging sizer from United Sales: all the circuits, the hookup of the Haley baggers and Hytrol conveyor lines, relocation of existing electrical, and new systems for two additional cold storage rooms.
The same approach runs through our other plant work: the 2021 Cold Room, M&M Potato Facilities, the Norwest Ingredients warehouse with its lighting, power distribution, grounding, wiring devices, unit heaters and underground utility conduit, and the circuits and control panels for the fish screens at Roza Diversion Dam. For motor controls and process automation, we design, install and maintain systems that keep production moving and that your operators can actually work with.
Chapter 03
Control panels built in our Yakima shop
Our shop builds custom industrial control panels to the UL508A standard, designed, assembled and documented in-house in Yakima. Whether you need a single replacement panel or a run of panels for a larger build-out, you get listed, inspection-ready work, built in Yakima, close to the plants that use it.
UL508A is the standard for industrial control panels. A panel built to it and marked as listed tells the inspector it was assembled with parts and methods the standard accepts, so it can be accepted on its label instead of being picked apart in the field. For an owner, that means a panel that passes the first time and arrives with drawings that match what is inside the door.
Nick Nalley, who estimates and runs our projects, came up as an industrial electrician, including time at Core Northwest and All Phase Electric, before starting the company in 2018. That background is why the panels look the way they do: labelled, wired to be serviced, and finished with a 509 nameplate so the next electrician knows who stands behind it.
PLC programming and the next service call
PLC programming comes with the panel set-up, not as a separate scramble after it. When the panel and the program are done by the same shop, the I/O is wired the way the logic expects it, and the person who commissions the line has already seen both. That keeps start-up short and keeps the blame game out of it.
Documentation is what pays off later. A panel with labelled wiring, current drawings and clear disconnect tags means the next troubleshooting call starts from the drawing instead of a guess. One disconnect in our 2021 Cold Room work is marked ZONE 9 FED FROM HV-1 and carries its arc-flash warning, which is exactly the kind of label an electrician wants to find at two in the morning.
Plant maintenance is part of our week alongside new construction, across Yakima, Kittitas and Walla Walla counties and the Columbia Basin. If you have a line to add, a panel to replace or a plant that needs a better set of drawings, call (509) 571-1082 and send us the plans or walk us the site.
