Journeyman Electrician (EL01)

509 Electric is hiring certified journey-level (journeyman) electricians to run commercial and industrial installations from rough-in through trim and final inspection. You will work alongside apprentices and report to a foreman.

What you’ll do
- Install conduit, feeders, branch circuits, panels, and gear on commercial and industrial projects
- Read and work from plans and specs, and coordinate with the GC and other trades on site
- Troubleshoot and repair existing systems, including service and ag work
- Mentor apprentices assigned to your crew
- Keep the work area clean, labeled, and inspection-ready
What we’re looking for
- Current Washington EL01 (or EL06) certificate of competency
- Ability to read commercial plans and specifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic hand tools and hand drills. Larger equipment is provided.
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work from ladders and lifts, and work outdoors year-round
Pay & benefits
$45 to $60 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits for full-time employees:

Our shop is in Yakima and most of our work is within an hour of it. Some projects take crews further out into the service area (Yakima, Benton, Franklin, Grant, Kittitas, Adams, Klickitat, and Walla Walla counties) as day trips or short stints, discussed up front.
