Panel 509 · About
Built here, for here
509 Electric is a licensed electrical contractor based in Yakima, Washington. We wire commercial buildings, keep industrial and agricultural facilities running, and build the street lighting, traffic signals and municipal systems our communities depend on.
We’re local and owner-operated. That means the person who walks your site is the person who prices the job, and the crew you meet on day one is the crew that finishes it.

Ground-up builds to complex facility upgrades
Our work runs from new commercial construction and tenant improvements to industrial control panels, motor controls and plant maintenance, plus the infrastructure side: street lighting, traffic signals and public-bid projects for cities and counties.
General contractors work with us because we show up when we say we will, hold our own schedule against the look-ahead, and flag problems early instead of at inspection.

Co-Owner · Estimator & Project Manager
Nick Nalley
Nick co-owns 509 Electric and handles estimating and project management himself. He came up as an industrial electrician, including work at Core Northwest and All Phase Electric, before starting the company in 2018, and that background shows in the work, from custom UL508A control panels built in-house to controls and gear on plant floors. He runs jobs across Yakima, Kittitas, Walla Walla and the Columbia Basin, and he's the person you talk to from the first walkthrough through final inspection.
Co-Owner
Nicole Nalley
Nicole co-owns 509 Electric and runs the business side: contracts, licensing, insurance, and the administration behind every job. She keeps the office running so the crews can stay on the tools.
Foreman
Emory Reed
Emory runs crews in the field and turns drawings into installed work: layout, rough-in, and getting gear set and terminated.
Foreman
Jordan Gardner
Jordan runs crews in the field and keeps jobs on schedule, making sure material, manpower, and information are where they need to be before they hold the work up. Once a job is underway, Jordan is a day-to-day point of contact on site.
Accounts Receivable
Brenda Kelley
Brenda handles billing and accounts receivable: invoicing, pay applications, and the paperwork that keeps jobs closing out cleanly.
509 Sparky Academy · Careers
Building the next generation of the trade
509 Sparky Academy, our state-registered apprenticeship, trains electricians here in the Yakima Valley: 8,000 hours of paid on-the-job training alongside classroom instruction, so the workforce this region needs comes from this region.
We’re big enough to run real commercial and infrastructure projects and small enough that the owner knows your name. Our crews stay local, so they’re home at night.
